Rachel Bentham writes in several different areas, including poetry, prose and scriptwriting. She is an experienced radio writer, having written many dramas and docu-dramas for Radio 4, on subjects as varied as shoplifting, Stonehenge and Edwardian parachuting. Her film script, Learning the Ropes, won the Picture This Prize for film-makers. Her poetry is internationally published and many of her short stories have been broadcast by the BBC. At present she is finishing a novel set in Tahiti during the 1840s, and a PhD. Rachel teaches at Bath Spa University. She lives in Bristol with her four children and is very rarely bored.
