Starting To Answer The Question: After The Storm

Organising Your Storm. Now you’ve splurged everything you can think of onto paper, it’s time to think about organising what you’ve got. There are several ways to do this.

Ranking. You can number the points or areas in your brainstorm in order of importance and relevance.

Colour Coding. You can go through your brainstorm and pick out references to key areas with highlighter pens. For example, references you’ve made to heart disease could be marked in red, references to cholesterol in orange and references to screening in yellow.

Keywords. You can take a new sheet of paper and start to reorganise your material under headings like ‘heart disease’ or ‘screening programmes’.
