First thoughts

Isn’t it better to write when you’re inspired?

“A lot of times you don’t feel like writing and you just have to stick it out. Sometimes I start work not remotely in the mood but after about an hour it starts getting okay. As an adolescent one was mood-driven. You can’t be mood-driven as an adult.”

“Writers who believe in waiting for inspiration tend to put off writing. Professional writers make sure they are inspired at a set time every morning.”

“You must be able to write without being inspired. That’s the difference between a professional and an amateur. A professional hairdresser can do a good haircut even when not inspired to.”
