Enid Ann Marshall was born on July 10, 1932 in Boyndie, Scotland to John and Lizzie (Gilchrist) Marshall. She studied Law at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, and was apprenticed at Pagan & Osborne in Cupar, Scotland. Marshall was the author of 13 books and textbooks on law, particularly Scots law and Scottish cases.
She was a lecturer in law at Dundee College of Technology; lecturer in business law at the University of Stirling (1972-1977); reader in business law and Scots law research at Stirling until 1994. Later an external examiner and external lecturer. She was Chairman of Social Security Appeal Tribunals, Stirling & Falkirk, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and member of the Law Society of Scotland (solicitor), and an advocate for animal welfare and veganism.
Legacy
Her gift of Royalties to the RLF from her literary estate helps support future generations of writers.
