Alan Drury was a dramatist for over 30 years, and had well over 60 scripts presented in theatre and on radio and TV. His work was premiered at, amongst others, the National Theatre, the Royal Court, Hampstead Theatre, the Bush Theatre, the ICA, York Theatre Royal, Durham Cathedral, and on Radios 3 & 4, BBC1, ITV and C4. He was Resident Dramatist at York Theatre Royal and the Royal Court. He was Literary Manager for Hampstead Theatre and BBC Radio Drama, and a script editor for BBC TV and Talisman Films. He was also a theatre critic. He directed for theatre and radio and also worked in computer games.
