About
Greg Keen is a crime writer with a particular interest in urban noir. Greg won the Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger in 2015. Since then, he has published three novels in The Soho Series featuring private eye Kenny Gabriel. In the first, Soho Dead (Thomas & Mercer, 2017), Kenny is employed to find the kidnapped daughter of a seventies porn baron turned media magnate. It was longlisted for the John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger for best debut crime novel. The second, Soho Ghosts (Thomas & Mercer, 2018), has a supernatural storyline, and the third, Soho Angels (Thomas & Mercer, 2019) is set in the Soho music industry. The inspiration for the books came from the decade Greg spent working in Soho. In addition to writing novels, Greg has an MA in Screenwriting and has had sitcoms commissioned by Channel 4 and ITV, one of which, Thicker Than Water, was produced as a stage play.
Greg is an experienced business and writing coach. He works with marketing and media companies on their storytelling skills, as well as with fiction writers, particularly those experiencing difficulties around structure and plot. His next book is a police procedural set in the near future that features artificial intelligence. Greg lives in North London with his wife who is also a novelist.
