Gordon Meade

Gordon Meade is a poet and creative-writing workshop facilitator. He has published seven collections of poetry including The Familiar, The Private Zoo and The Cleaner Fish (all with Arrowhead Press). His most recent collection Sounds of the Real World was published in 2013 by Cultured Llama Publishing.

Since 2000, Gordon Meade has divided his time between his own writing and running creative-writing courses for vulnerable young people in a variety of different settings, including schools, drop-in centres and hospitals. He has also been, at various times, the creative-writing fellow at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and the writer-in-residence for Dundee District Libraries. At present, Gordon Meade is working on his eighth collection Les Animots, a book-length series of illustrated poems, which will be published in 2015 by Cultured Llama Publishing. Although born and bred in Scotland, Gordon Meade is now living in London.
