About
Clare Shaw lives in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. They have three poetry collections with Bloodaxe – Straight Ahead, Head On and Flood: their forthcoming fourth collection was awarded a Northern Writer’s Award in 2018. Clare is a regular tutor for the Poetry School, the Wordsworth Trust and the Arvon Foundation. They believe in the power of language to bring about personal and social transformation; their role in the Royal Literary Fund includes collaborating with unions to establish writing projects in workplaces across the UK.
