Clementine Ewokolo Burnley is a poet and writer based in Edinburgh. When she’s not writing she’s a trainee psychotherapist, trauma-informed mediator and group facilitator. Her work has appeared in Ink Sweat and Tears, Gutter magazine, Magma and Poetry Review. Her poem ‘How to Eat Frogs’ was picked by Hugh McMillan for the Best Scottish Poems administered by the Scottish Poetry Library. Her first poetry pamphlet, Radical Pairings, was published by ignitionpress in 2023 and shortlisted for the Michael Marks Pamphlet award. Clementine has been selected for an RSL Sky award for creative nonfiction and as joint winner of the James Berry Poetry prize. Her first full-length poetry collection is due to be published by Bloodaxe in 2026. She also writes regular reviews, short-form fiction and nonfiction pieces for WritersMosaic.
