Neil Rollinson

Neil Rollinson is a prize-winning poet and story writer. He is the recipient of a Cholmondeley award for poetry and has won the prestigious National Poetry Competition. He has four collections with Jonathan Cape, and several pamphlets with other publishers. As a well-known and popular performer of his work, he has read at venues across Britain and also in Europe and America. He has presented his poems on BBC Radio and TV.

As well as a writer, Neil is a teacher in higher education at both MA and undergraduate levels. He also spends a good deal of time as a personal mentor for new writers. His work has been widely anthologised, from erotic collections of verse, to those of science and astronomy. For several years he was the editor of the seminal online literature magazine Boomerang, a journal that helped pave the way for internet literature in the early days, by offering moving-image/text and film poems. He has exhibited his own animated poetry at galleries in Paris and Turin.

He is currently living on the south coast of England, in Brighton, where he is working on his next collection of poetry, and also developing his interest in short fiction, some of which has been published in Manchester Review and for which he was awarded a Brookleaze grant by the Society of Authors.
