Raffaella Barker is a novelist. Her first novel was Come and Tell Me Some Lies (1994). Other novels include A Perfect Life (2006), Poppyland (2008) and Full Tilt (2011).
Raffaella has written short stories for the radio, including The Red Digger (Radio 4, 2008) and Sea Lavender (Radio 4, 2006). Her work is translated into 15 languages and published all over the world. Raffaella’s journalism appears in the Sunday Times, Spectator, Country Life and Harpers Bazaar.
She has worked for the charity First Story teaching creative writing in schools for the two years and has produced two anthologies with the children of The Burlington Danes Academy: Chandenance (2009) and Untold Truths (2010). She has taught on the Arvon Foundation creative writing workshop in Devon, and teaches creative writing privately. Raffaella has three children and lives in Norfolk.
