Making Writing Work Part 2: Plot Twist

RLF Webinar: Making Writing Work Part 2 – Plot Twist
  • 20 March, 2026

On Tuesday, 21 April at 6 PM (GMT), Nick Ahad will return to chair our second free webinar in the Making Writing Work series. Part 2: Plot Twist – what to do when a writer’s financial model breaks will feature our Head of Grants, Justine Palmer, and Robyn Law, Head of Charities at the Society of Authors.

They will talk through the grants, resources, and benefits you can apply for whilst navigating the hard times in your writing career, as well as exploring what support is available to writers when a change in circumstances impacts income.

The event is free but registration is required. Register here.

This is the second event in our Making Writing Work series. Earlier this year, Nick Ahad was joined by writers Emily Itami, Derek Keilty and Karen McCarthy Woolf for the first webinar, The reality and identity of a professional writer today. Additional insight was also provided by Federica Fiorillo, International Rights and Policy Manager at the Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS). You can watch the full discussion below.
