WritersMosaic’s Poets on Film LIVE at The Conduit
- 22 January, 2026
On 10 February, two of the poets featured in WritersMosaic and the Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation’s UK Global Majority Poets on Film series will join the filmmakers who created their performance pieces for an evening of poetry, film and conversation.
The event – hosted by WritersMosaic director Colin Grant at The Conduit in London – will see Anthony Anaxagorou, founder of Out-Spoken Press perform his work ‘Things Already Lost‘, which was filmed for the series by Rob Akin. Forward Prize-winner Marjorie Lotfi will perform her poem ‘The Hebridean Crab Apple‘, which was filmed by Savannah Acquah.
The other poems from the series – Jason Allen-Paisant’s ‘Right Now I’m Standing‘ and Jo Clement’s ‘Playing Cards‘ – will also be screened as part of the event.
Following the screenings, the poets and filmmakers will give behind-the-scenes insights into the construction of the films, riffing along the way on the history of poetry films and their challenges.
You can register for free tickets here. The event will also be available to stream – more information here.
