Season Two of Collected: The Podcast – listen now
- 9 June, 2026
The RLF’s Collected: The Podcast returns with a new season this week, featuring fascinating stories and insightful discussion with some of the UK’s best writers.
Over the next few months our presenters Doug Johnstone, Juliet Gilkes Romero, Caroline Sanderson, Julia Copus, Jonathan Tulloch, Sonia Faleiro – together with producer Ann Morgan – will be joined by guests as they take a deep dive into all aspects of the writing journey. Featuring screenwriters, authors, poets, memoirists, dramatists, writers of non-fiction, children’s authors and more, this season promises to be as packed full of stories as ever.
As well as sharing experiences and insights from their own careers, our writers will also be exploring the Collected audio archive, drawing on the words and thoughts of other writers to explore what it means to make a living as an writer today.
Over the coming weeks:
- Writer, editor and translator Daniel Hahn will discuss translating Shakespeare and his thoughts on the use of AI within the translation industry
- Author and illustrator Sally Kindberg will be helping us celebrate 100 years of Winnie-the-Pooh
- Journalist and author Daisy Buchanan will be talking about the power of reading
- RLF beneficiary and writer Davina Quinlivan will talk memoir, academia and identity
- Renowned crime fiction writer Val McDermid will join presenter Doug Johnstone – a fellow member of all-author rock band the Fun-Lovin’ Crime Writers – to reflect on her illustrious career
In this week’s first episode, music journalist and writer John Aizlewood talks having tea with Peter Gabriel, travelling on Travis’s tour bus and attending every game played by league one football club Stevenage. Listen to the episode here.
